At City Sport, every summer cap bearing this label is made using fabrics that offer reliable protection against harmful UV rays. Whether it's a lightweight linen, breathable cotton, or our signature jersey, each material has been tested and meets the European standard for UV protection.
Only fabrics that pass this test are used in our collection — no exceptions.
What does UPF mean?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It measures how effectively a fabric blocks ultraviolet radiation. The higher the UPF rating, the better the protection. A UPF 50+ rating – the highest category – means that less than 2% of UV rays can penetrate the fabric.
Tested and approved
All our summer fabrics are independently tested by Centexbel, the Belgian scientific and technical center for the textile industry. The tests follow the strict European standard EN 13758-1, ensuring trustworthy results you can rely on.
